why did you touch the brake pads if you were changing the transmission fluid, you must have been doing some serious boozin buddy. Lay off the sauce and maybe head to an AA meeting.

I could be 9 beers deep and not put a brake pad facing metal on metal. That's really bad OP.

Have you enjoyed 9 IPA's and then tried doing brakes? Yea me neither. However a couple cold ones for motivation is always fun, but when you begin doing stuff backwards is the time to call it a night.

Work on the auto and then drink. Order of operation. Pay attention next time.

    yeah it’s bad.

I had around half a bottle of vodka and 2 beers that day. I’m a heavy drinker when I drink.

I stopped drinking and working on cars a while back. Even working on my own cars I won't drink. I always made mistakes. Get the job done faster without drinking as well.

Since this thread is still going how do I wire these to my reverse lights so they turn on when I back up? Any write ups? Which wire on the stock reverse lights do I connect them to?

    promise to do it sober.

If it makes you feel any better at least once every couple months I have cars come in that had DIY brakes done by sober people… and the caliper pistons are on the rotor.

A relay triggered by the reverse lights is the simplest and safest option. @Puppypunter makes t harnesses to tap into the brake or reverse lights without modifying stock wiring

    Is a relay necessary?

    Damn. Half of two six?

I only drink beers when working on my vehicles. Can’t imagine drinking hard liquor and wrenching.

I’m not a hard liquor guy really, although I do enjoy Gentleman’s Jack at times.
