SR is supposed to be the work/fleet version. Guess they figured companies aren’t necessarily looking for power and would prioritize MPGs over HP. Even if it’s a palsy 1 or 2 gallons.

price is $6500. But Xpel is the best stuff out there. Self-heals and 13mils thick. It also gets prepped, film laid, my custom decals laid, ceramic coating and Xpel Prime XR Plus front tint match. Plus 10 year warranty on film.

But shops can range in cost up to $12k.

That makes sense lol. I guess I didn't get the memo though, I bought it for me as my daily driver and not a work vehicle. I did the same thing in 2000 with a 2WD tacoma (still own it). It is amazing to see the differences between what is considered "bare bones" over a 22 year period. The Tundra now has features that weren't in my 2010 Lexus IS and is now the base model.

Wow, I knew if was pricey but didn't realize it could be $12k. I have done several front ends before but they cost more in $1500-1700 range with front bumper, full hood, and fenders. To me, the unappreciated value PPF brings it to preventing headlights from hazing and yellowing. It only cost around $75 to have someone do them professionally too.

    That's disappointing about the mirrors.

I wouldn't want the fake engine noise. I guess it might sound good. But I can take it or leave it when it comes to real engine noise. I don't need or want a loud engine V8 for example. That can be fun at times. I'm not bothered by interior noise either, if I drove a noisy V8.

they quoted me $2300 for full front end including headlights, a-pillars, and roof.

the reason the higher costs of my wrap is bc it’s stealth (matte) and they can’t leave any edges exposed like they can with clear. Some pieces have to removed like door handles and some trim pieces to ensure good coverage then wrap the edges. Any gloss paint will stick out like sore thumb against matte film.

That makes complete sense. I guess putting something glossy over something that is already glossy allows for a few shortcuts.
