This question may already be out there; however, this is my first time on this site and I am still getting used to the site. My apologizes if it has already been addressed. My question : In driving my truck back from the dealer (to home), I noticed that when in the wind wash of a tractor trailer rig, the truck really moves around, can even feel it in the steering wheel. It seems to wiggle around a bit in the wind wash. Being that I have been used to a full size truck, this is something new to me. Is this normal?

First welcome to the site no question is really ever to dumb to ask everybody on the site is pretty helpful. I am not to familiar with towing but i have heard that coming from a full size to a tacoma is different. But some one will be along and answer your question better soon enough. ;)

The Tacoma (while not as small as it was in years past) is still a relatively light truck. The wind will affect it more, especially if your in a turbulent wind situation like behind or off to the side of a tractor trailer. It should not feel like loss of control, but wind buffeting will cause some bumps on your steering as it pushes your truck side to side. It's understandable moving from a larger, heavier truck to notice outside forces affecting the vehicle more as your not used to being "pushed" around as much.

    ----------781 V(vehicle)---------

Discrepancy: Vehicle shakes and moves around in wind buffeting situation caused by close proximity to larger vehicles.

Corrective Action: Change relative location to vehicle causing wind anomaly.
