Dealers are going to want, and Toyota is already incentivising, selling the 2010's over the 2011's.

Dealers won't want anymore than normal, unless at the very begining there's not many around. The only incentives at the moment in our area anyway are two years free maintenance, which doesn't motivate me at all. They generally do a good job keeping the quantities down on these, so unless there's a last minute glut of them, I wouldn't expect much difference.

IF I was to buy one now, I'd only choose the 2010 over the 2011 due to the $1,030 price increase for the 2011's. Other than that, I could get one for the same markup from the dealer either way.

In the southeast, there is a $750 incentive, plus you have to included the price increase.

Car buying 101: end of model year is always a good time to buy.

agreed on the incentive, which I mentioned varies by location (where i live there's only the 2 yr maintenance) and the price increase which i mentions.

the end of the year thing is only sometimes true. it's more of a monthly thing and it rarely will get you any better of a deal, and probably less so on a tacoma. i've been around the car business for most of my life - i know exactly how it works. IF the dealer is one or two cars away from hitting a factory sales milestone, and it is the very last day - then you might get a very good deal. But the odds are that you won't hit it like that. My buddy who owns a number of dealerships once sold a car $5K back of his cost because he was going to get $44K back for that month if he sold one more car. So it can help, it's just not nearly as automatic as a lot of people think. It may help those more who walk in the front door and do the starting to negotiate down from the msrp - but you're better off calling the fleet manager and getting the price right away over the phone and having them email you the invoice.

Are the 2010 seats manual or electronic? And does the truck have to be running to use the 3 prong plug ins?(may be a dumb question) How many 3 prong plug ins are there??

I just picked up a 2010 DC 4x4 TRD Sport with XM, bluetooth, towing package, etc. etc., the whole nine yards, for an OTD price of $30000 even.

I would say definitely go 2010.

I could be wrong, but I think all Tacomas only have manual seats... mine are anyways.
