After reading the board for many days I went out and purchased a new tacoma today. I know I may be jumping the gun, but I would like to do some mods to improve power and mpg. I have been looking at Aero Turbine 2525x and maybe a CAI.

Welcome! I don't have personal experience with either, but some of the threads I've read suggest the CAI won't help much for a 2nd Gen due to the fact the stock intake already pulls air from a fairly cool location. Regardless enjoy your new truck.
