New TRD Off Road goes straight on city roads but veers left or right on highways. Situation is kind of weird but the brand new truck veers left when in the left lane of a highway and right when in the right lane of a highway. When I go about 70mph in the left lane, it is quite noticeable. Any ideas on whats going on? Will be checking tire pressure later today. I was thinking maybe the Northern NJ highway roads (I-95 and I-80) aren't even and that is causing the issue.

Bring it in and have them check the alignment, I've had a couple of trucks, one Tacoma, that had to be re aligned on warranty.

What are your tire pressures at? Also, generally there is a crown in the center of the roadway to help shed water.

Take it back to the dealer and have the alignment checked. Both of my new Tacomas required adjustment with less than 500 miles on them.

Could be alignment, could be road crown. Some roads can have more of a crown than others which can make this issue worse. No harm in getting alignment checked. My previous Tacoma was pretty far out of alignment from the factory. Alignment on new Tacoma is perfect, but depending on road you still get it to drift one way or the other on occasion

Yeah most roads are pitched so water will flow off it thatd be my answer if your having no issues during regular city driving

Not that I have a 3rd Gen, but I just put new tires on and had an alignment done, and there is still the very light and gradual drift left or right on the highway depending on which lane I’m in, due to the road crown as others mentioned. City roads tend to be much flatter and you’re going slower, so any drift is either not there at all or difficult to notice.

If you’re on a 3- or 4-lane highway and in one of the middle lanes, and the truck regularly drifts one way, then maybe you really have an issue. At which point the dealership ought to be able to check alignment and make any adjustments no charge. Assuming you haven’t hit some crazy deep pothole or done serious off-roading since you got the vehicle.
