Keyfobs are done! Really happy with the final fitment with the laser cut stainless rings, and adds a ton of strenght to them. Got a few colors to start with, black, grey, OD green, blue and red.

They are $39.99 shipping anywhere in the lower 48.

Possibly looking at doing runs later on with copper or titanium inserts and more exotic 3D printed materials.

I really like this idea. I already have the aftermarket fob case but might upgrade to this. Would be cool to add toyota logo or TRD or something to the blank side

It was a thought but I like the clean ascetic personally. Also with all the trademark issues floating around all the time it wasnt something I wanted to even push.

Thats true, didnt even think of that. Should be really cool with the copper and titanium inserts. What other printed materials are you considering using?

I print probably a spool or 2 a week of PET-CF for thermal helmet mounts for hunting, I can try that but probably a bit overkill. I would like to get ahold of some more matte finish PETG, they just look really nice. The military green keyfob is my personal favorite, but just playing around with differant brands and checking out the results.

Thats cool man. Might want to add an option for people to choose a different color for the front and rear panels to kind of mix and match with the color options

That would be cool too, I got to get some sort of inventory system going for that also. Just ran into a issue with the 05-10 DOT key trucks, transponder is too weak to make it out of the metal. Im flabbergasted but working on a fix.

Yeah that is weird. Im assuming the metal piece isnt solid and is cut out in the middle to basically just go around the perimeter?

Correct, the cut keys look exactly the same, I just assumed they would work. Probably have to turn the front 80% into plastic and the backside with 2 screws I can keep the stainless for keyrings.

Yup thats exactly what I was thinking. Will just have to print a small step in one of the pieces so the rest of it sits flush and the metal part can just tie into the rear screw holes

Thats the workaround for now, going to play with some aluminum tomorrow too and see if it has any less interference.

Aluminum and moving the stainless to the rear both fixed the issue, never crossed my mind I would run in to interference.

Ordered some replacements in aluminum that should be here next week since I like the look of it going all the way around better.

First batch of aluminum rings to fix the DOT keys are in, only got 25 right now.

Also adding more colors, navy blue and silver soon.

Been a bit MIA and busy with helmet mounts but a new tool came in this week. Finally got ahold of a 3d Scanner and a 3rd printer before the tariffs got ahold of them

Excited to see how much this thing improves my workflow.
