I’m about to buy a new set of tires and I really want to go with the KO2’s but I heard they are not that great in the rain. I live in NC where it rains all the time so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for good A/T tires that work well in rain as well. I’m going with 265/75r16

Wildpeaks were great in the rain for me. My geolanders are like any other typical mt, not amazing.

I put a set of the new Toyo AT III's on my wifes 4runner last week. They are sweet! 4Wheel Parts has them on sale and discount tire matched the price.

Continental TerrainContact. I’ve had them for about 10 months now. Only half hydroplaned once in the rain, it was an absolute downpour and I hit a strip of standing water that was a couple inches deep going 65mph (traffic was going closer to 50mph). Other than that, they have been awesome in the rain. They are also as quiet as a highway tire too. Steering is sharp, not lazy. I love them.

I've had KO and KO2 for 6 years, zero issues in the rain, one of the best all round tires out there. 60k miles on mine now.
My next set I might try St Maxx or Duratracs.

I was NOT confident with Kumho ATs in wet conditions on my Tacoma. I was SUPER impressed with the Goodyear Gatorback on my wife's SUV in rain and light snow.

Another vote for the Falken Wildpeaks. They've been great for me in the wet weather.

I never had a problem with K02 in the rain on our 2nd Gen, in fact I drove one one the worst rainstorms with pounding rain and 1-2inch of water standing on the road with them, they were planted and no pulling or planing at all.

The a20a Toyos that came on our 3rd gen were garbage in the rain, brand new and they pulled and pushed in the puddles on the highway.. I haven't gone through standing water yet with our new Toyo RTs, but so far spring wet/snow roads have been no problem.

Agreed. Never had issues with the ko2s in the rain. That’s driving through I5 up in Oregon in the pouring rain.

Goodyear Duratracs fixed alot of the slipping I'd have when starting from a stop on a wet hill.

They have an incredible amount of siping and I haven't experienced any hydroplaning. Not sure how deep the siping goes though.
