Put the finishing touches on a deal for a new TRD today. I'll be picking it up on friday. It's been twenty years since I've had a Toyota. That was an old '78 FJ40. Back in May, I was broadsided and rolled my '06 Rubicon. The insurance company wrote it off. So.... I bought the salvage, put it in a barn, and plan to build a dedicated bush machine out of it. In the meantime, I decided I needed a truck. After a lot of lookin', I decided a Tacoma TRD would fit the bill. It'll be a daily driver, grocery getter, huntin' rig, parts hauler... and a black pain in the ass trying to keep 'er clean :)

Hey, thanks y'all. It's an Offroad model with the dealers 3" lift. Truthfully, I'm not sure what the difference is between that and a Sport model. Picking her up tommorow, and I have my mind on rims and tires.

    Cool

The main difference is the Offroad has the locker and the flat hood , the Sport doesn't have the locker , has the scoop and the colour matched trim

Do you know what lift is on it ?

Well... I'll have to ask today what kind of lift kit they put in it. Also, I've had them swap out the chrome grill bits and the rear bumper for body coloured pieces. And.... for 300 bucks, the flat hood is being swapped for a "hood scoop" one.

Yup, she's a beauty alright. Needs tires, rims, a good "deer catcher" & winch, and about another 150 hp ;). I'll see if I can't get some pics up sunday.
