    I can only assume it was his first manual taco. They really are a dying breed, I've only ever seen one other manual second gen.

    Luckily the batteries in my remote are rechargable and have an expected life of 6 months+. Charges with a mini USB and they have a battery level indicator.

    Theft got so bad here at one time. You couldn't get registration on certain vehicles without an "approved" immobilized system let alone get insurance. Few years later, theft dropped dramatically except for guys who insist on leaving keys in.
