    Hi all,
I am new to the Tacoma world with my 95 4wd Tacoma 2.7. . . And I'm up to my elbows in it already. I bought the truck with a cracked head for a steal, then swapped another motor with half the mileage on it. Truck ran okay for a couple thousand miles. . . then I changed the EGR valve (The old one was completely blocked and stuck) The truck ran way better but only for a week. So a few days ago I went to work - 40 miles and everything was normal. Shut the truck down and went to work. A few hours later I got in to go to lunch. While cranking I heard a metallic clang, but the truck started fine. A few seconds later I noticed a lot of white smoke. . . then dropped a cylinder. I shut it down and took out the plugs one by one. Cylinder 1 is filled with antifreeze. So much so that the motor won't crank. . .

So that's where my story begins.

Hopefully just a head gasket and not something more. If there’s that much antifreeze, I also hope you didn’t bend a connecting rod.

I hope so as well. . . I was amazed at how fast the cylinder was flooded. Before I shut if off It sounded fine, no noise. Just smoke. I've got a buddy with a trailer and we are going to pick it up on Wednesday and bring it home. Pull the head and see.
