If they had removed too much it could allow the introduction of air into the system; very unlikely I grant you, but I can't think of much that isn't in this scenario.

Same as my 2008 Tacoma. Worst factory brake pedal feel I've ever experienced.

Interesting thought, but virtually impossible. I've bled a lot of brakes in my time, but never got the master cylinder below half full.

I was thinking about this the other night. When the brake job was done, OP stated that the front pads were replaced. IF they inspected the rears, would they have adjusted the wheel cylinders in to aid in removal of the rear drums? If so, and they weren't adjusted back out, that could be a contributor.

Possibly rear brake shoes not adjusted correctly.? I don’t recall reading what kind of parts were used.... factory or after market? Iv seen after market brake pads look like sponges when the brakes are applied. Also note: rusted calipers can cause this.... to much rust can cause the pads to get stuck and act like a frozen slide pin per say....rust build up where the pads slide in.....

So update for anyone who cares lol -

The shop checked literally everything twice today and bled the brake lines again then plugged it into the comp and they discovered that there was a failure in the abs communication and they think that's what was making my pedal drop... Anyways... It's fixed

Glad its fixed but one question, if pads and rotors were replaced, why did they bled the brakes.

Because they also flushed the system when they replaced the pads and rotors
