Holy crap. I got the 1/2" spacers and drove 4 hours yesterday and I really appreciate them. No more squirming around trying to make my lower back comfortable. I'm 5'10" and still have plenty headroom (no sunroof). The view over the hood seems a little better also.

Sure was. Close to 150 pair (mostly 1"). I thank ye for the blessing to make these ... helped me pay off my lathe completely.

    Awesome!

Umm, it's not like I had the skillz to kick out something that freaking nice. Ha!

Now, we need to figure out what will pay for upgrades.

Yeah, I would really like to upgrade the mill with teknic clearpath servos ... higher RPM spindle, larger 4th axis.

But this puppy just dropped and I really think it would be a better candidate to suit my vision. Might buy it and convert to CNC over the winter, still haven't decided yet. Will have to wait on some reviews to see if the stock motor is worth a damn. If not, probably better to work with what I already have.

Oh man. We have these puppies sitting idle 99% of the time.

I have no idea why we went through such an expense (before my time), but the fucking dolt that was behind it is just a tool. He can make some nice parts, but at the same time, it was a wasted cost from what I see from the early development around here. I won't even get into to the chests filled with unused tools. This guy took our owner for a ride early on. I'm doing the best that I can to unravel that.

You don't want those, just send em here ... haha.

Yeah that's easily $15k worth of machines, probably double that all tooled up.

I wish. You'd definitely get more utility out of it.

We could have saved a ton by grabbing lower grade stuff at HF and still not come up short.

Indeed. Those both have pretty big work envelopes, guessing you could have gone smaller and cheaper. That mill is an RF45 clone, which is huge for a benchtop mill. Precision Matthews actually sells one already converted to CNC. Kinda want it, just don't have $10k laying around right now.

That is what I think happened here to some extent. The idiot over sold what he would be making on them and couldn't bring himself to darken HF's door.
