    :smack:

Dammit, don't be one of those guys who takes the lower fairing off and calls it a street fighter! Else I should have to resort to drastic measures

I do think it would make a nice street fighter, but you gotta go a lot further than that to make it happen.

Hey Alex, just a heads up. Kickstands and new pavement do not like each other. I don't know how heavy that bike is but the base of the kick stand doesn't seem very large.

Also, I have used those pull straps my whole life for tying down virtually everything. I have since switched over to ratchet straps. Used properly and not over tightening them, they are far better than the pull straps IMO. Most of the pull straps have the same weight rating (if not less) as the ratchet straps. It's all in how you use them.

I said semi-street fighter lol. There are WAY too many wires to make it a full out street fighter. I like it how she sits right now. Just gotta make up some brackets to affix the fairings, plus modify the fairings a bit.

Rode 27 miles around town today after adjusting some settings on the rear swing arm. She runs great! Just gotta get a new frame

Yeah it wasn't on the new pavement for very long haha. Plus it's cold out so it wasn't very mailable. My kickstand is in desperate need of replacement/repair and a kickstand pad.

I also need some good straps and learn how to load stuff properly.

Alex, I'm almost afraid to ask but what 'settings' did you adjust on the swing arm? Every swing arm I've seen is pretty solidly attached to the frame.

If you're ever in the area, I'd be happy to show you how I tie everything down. I did make a thread on loading a motorcycle in a DCSB (lots of people seemed to think it couldn't be done )

Just moved the tire back evenly a little bit to take up some of the slack in the chain. Deflection should be 0.6"-1" and it was closer to 2". Shifts better without all the slack. Plus it tracks straight now

Ninja edit: Billy got it 100%

They are the balls for tying down sport bikes. Otherwise, the straps lay across the plastics.
