Thanks, will check them out also. That's the kind of wiring job I'd want to see if I'm paying someone else to do it. I'm good with wiring, i just don't trust myself messing with the ignition wires

Only thing I don't like about that rack is how it's supported at the bed floor and sort of on the bed rails. It seems like it'd be difficult to make it so there's not a gap between the bed rail and that angle piece, so all the weight is supported at the bed floor. I'm sure it's plenty strong, but I'd want one that just sat on the bed rails.

I'm wondering what would happen when the bed flexes while offroading.

Exactly! It was kind of funny, I followed a Tundra down a rough Cambridge street this morning and you'd swear that the bed was only held on with bungee cords. That thing flexed like paper, I couldn't believe how much movement there was with the bed!

I remember I watched a comparison test video a few years ago between all the full size trucks (Ford Chevy Dodge Toyota and Nissan).
I remember being shocked when they did the "rocky road" test at how much ALL of their beds flexed. The Nissan flexed so much that it actually damaged itself; the bed and cab hit so hard that they both dented

You better be careful, she will try to slip in a ring and then there will be no mod house or truck money left. :p

I think they are both biased. They have the spokesmen for each line in the two videos. Obviously they picked the tests that their truck would excel in.

I assume you guys are posting videos? The IT guys changed it so that we can't play video on the work computers (too much band draw or some computerspeak reason) so all it shows me is a big blank spot, haha.

I agree withe the mount issues plus you lose bed space.. I was more commenting on the size and strength of everything. Looks like same tubing sliders made of and four top hoops is a lot for a five foot bed. The angle looks like two inch angle which isn't light
