Talk with toyota yesterday about the frame coating . They didn't find any holes and said once they put the coating on toyota won't cover a new frame if it rots out in the future. The girl said the recall runs till late 2016 so she is going to inspect it every 6 months till it's close to the end date . Then if I get a hole they will replace it .

Some stupid emissions thing. It's either egr, vsv, or charcoal canister. Haven't had the time to narrow down which one exactly.

 

That seems odd. I'd think they'd cover the ones that were brought back for undercoat, and not cover the ones that weren't coated...
My '99 they inspected and undercoated the frame, and then when it rusted out anyway a few years later they bought it back. Maybe check with another dealership and see what they say? Or maybe call Toyota corporate?

I just bought some new stuff to protect the frame on the Ferd. It's Amsoil MPHD, spray on heavy duty metal protector. It was made for motorcycle chains but supposedly works great for metal protection in general. I bought a case of it so I'll let you know how it goes...

 

I bought mine end of March 2008. I have about 60900 roughly.

 

I'm not sure. The ones I have are 6 LED's each but I can't find them on their website. I seem to remember buying them when they were liquidating that particular model but I can't even find his sale thread. They're a 3" LED rectanglar pod style light. They look similar to the Dually D2S
