Very nice! I just got the H1 kit. It should arrive tomorrow according to the tracking number. I went back and forth on the D2S vs. the H1 and there are good arguments for both. I went with the H1 with the XB bulbs.

What do those bulbs gain you over the regular bulbs?

They're supposed to burn cooler, retain their original color for a longer period of time, be a little brighter and have a crisper color. There is no upgrade to OEM quality bulbs for the H1's so the XB's are sort of the equivilent I suppose. All HID bulbs will color shift as they get older, the higher quality bulbs are supposed to resist that. I wanted the lower temp also because it makes the projector last longer. I think the high temp bulbs in the Blazer projectors is making the chrome reflective surface deteriorate and making them duller. I don't want to deal with that in my headlights.

I had yellow headlights once. It pisses people off more than HIDs do.

I'm curious to know if they're actually any brighter. I bought 4300K bulbs which supposedly put out the most usable light. We'll see how they turn out.

I think the link is just what the default is for the kit. The kits default to 3000K bulbs and apollo shrouds.

I'm not running HIDs, but I like my 5000K and 2500K combo. I have 6000K H4 HIDs, tried them for a few days and didn't like them.

And you think I've got a problem with lighting...

I've got 5000K headlights in my bike and I like it a lot but wanted something similar in color to my halogens. I don't do a lot of night driving with the bike so the color is more for looks I guess you could say.

When I'm done, I'll have projectors in the headlights and fogs. 4300K in the headlights and 3000K in the fogs.

I went back and forth on that one also. I don't think you can go wrong with either one. With the HID's, even the 4300K seems to be more white than a stock halogen.

They are pretty pricey. I really wouldn't have a need for something like that. I don't wheel at night and you can't use it on the road.
