Very sweet!! I didn't know you were into building models.

WOW. I didn't see 2-3 back then but my folks weren't much for movies.

    Just one of many..

Just the pre-built stuff. 1/18 mainly. I pared my collection way down a few years back but am thinking of adding a few again.

Hope everyone enjoyed the holiday season and has stayed safe!

I’m on the search for a new vehicle and am extremely picky. Will be my first big car purchase and I’m a buy once cry once type of person. What sort of sites has anyone used for car searches? I’m using the typical AutoTrader, Cars, CarGuru sites plus trying to manually check local dealers websites. I have the range out to 100-200 miles and check fairly often. It’s been fun but somewhat frustrating; I’m holding strong for what I want.

I’ve seen/heard a lot of promos on YouTube for Autotempest.com as a search that searches all the for sale sites in one.

Do you know what you want at this point? If it’s new, go to the manufacturer site, build it, price it out, then send emails to any dealership your willing to work with. See who gives you the best deals, work the dealerships against each other except who ever gave you the best offer at first, always keep a back up plan.

Sorry to hear about the family challenges. One day at a time. Hope your FIL gets the help he needs.

If you decide to get the pop n lock again then I can provide a link to a safety string mod that will allow you to quickly pull to release the tailgate lock should the auto portion of the auto lock fail like it happened to you.

Thanks. Wasn't even the powered one. Handle snapped on the smart lock that keys to the ignition key. Its always been kind of temperamental

Looking for a used/CPO 4Runner. Black on black. Really want a OR or Trail Premium. Would do TRD Pro but the money is

Also looked at the GX460/GX470 but that’s a long shot.

I have tried them and the only gripe is I can’t figure out how to filter by specific model trim. Might be user error or might not be an option.

Looking used or CPO first. Would like to avoid new for depreciation but if the search is this picky, we will see I suppose.

Autotempest is awesome. You can def sort by trim. You need to go the advanced options

Wow, sorry to hear of this. It's a tough time of year for people who are already suffering.

On to 2021! Screw that last year.

in general supply of those are really low right now, and you'll pay a premium for one. once new car supply comes back up you'll probably have an easier time getting one, and paying less. you'd probably do better to just buy a new one

Any idea when it will be a better time to buy? I'm looking to get rid of my truck and while my trade in is valued high, the new vehicles are either nowhere to be found or priced through the roof.

the issue at the factories is that materials are tough, but then they have fewer people working because of social distancing. and then if someone tests positive or comes in contact with someone that tests positive it's that whole domino effect losing work
