Yes you do. Be honest! I bet you're always thinking people are talking about or at least thinking about dildos.

I know your dirty little mind.

Had it done up here in the VT hinterlands. The products are very high quality and very well fitted - any decent frame shop or auto fab should be able to do them, if there's enough good metal to weld to.

Hahaha, idiots. Even in Mass black powder is considered "Primitive" and subject to different rules(can be displayed IIRC) for the same reasons mentioned below....

Don't like what is in my house, or what I DO in my house, stay the fk out... and yes, that includes both red and blue kool-aid drinkers.

I've fixed more than my share of black powder irons... won't even shoot those, let alone flintlock.

    And that is totally cool.
It isn't a lifestyle thing for me/us. We all shoot in this house. I learned to use these tools on the tax payers dime, and choose to maintain my proficiency with them.
It is a tool here, nothing more, nothing less.
Even the kids that have no interest, we're taught proper handling, to shoot, CLEAR and make safe, etc. We don't leave anything out, but, we travel, and, we'll, shit can go wrong, and I'd rather one of my kids that stumbles into something, or sees something stupid about to happen,
(Another friend playing with one, etc) will do the right thing, and not panic.

Yeah, I'm anti politics, and that is too close to that comment. But, purple is kinda on the money....

I used to teach a free gun safety class for non-gun owners/their kids for this reason. The class had zero instruction on marksmanship. It covered basic knowledge of form and function, various statistics (ownership rate, violence/mishap and violence vs. mishap statistics with unbiased presentation - without getting too parenthetical it is extremely tough to find good datasets for this, political dickery both ways), overview of Fed/State laws, methods of safe storage, and the fundamental rules of firearms safety, so that attendees would understand what it looks like when an idiot is doing idiot stuff.

The class was extremely popular. Even if a person chooses to not own guns, this is America - they're EVERYWHERE whether a person likes it or not. An analogy I used a lot was "Just because you don't own a car doesn't mean you can ignore them when you go for a walk." I got a lot of people showing up by word of mouth and parent(s) returning with kids the second time, which was great.

    @deanosaurus exactly.
Neither of my older kids have a driver's license.
You can bet they can move, stop, shut off, etc a vehicle.
I understand WHY they don't drive. But, they understand the reality

No way I'm clearing leaves anymore, just blast through them and mow the lawn.

Where you're at it's harder but closer to the cities, absolutely. I could pay 200 a month for insurance, 200 for a car payment, 100 for gas, assuming no upkeep. Or for the cost of just two months owning a car i can get one of them hybrid bikes that'll last me for a couple years.

Definitely different times. Big thing is social media too, why would I bother getting a car to drive across town when i can FaceTime and still talk "face to face".

Okay. Time to end old grumpy man.

This is usually the weekend i do my first big marinara cook. But it's going to be sunny and 70. That's hard. Might have to move it back to vets day weekend, it's pretty warm down here into Columbus day weekend.

Same here. I don't own any and don't foresee ever getting any. I have gone shooting a few times with friends many years ago when they were trying to get me to get an LTC and whatnot. I think I shot a couple Ruger pistols. It didn't really entertain me and I have always had horrible hand eye coordination so I was nowhere near the targets any time.

But I don't care what other people do. It would just be a decoration to me too. People on land behind me do target practice on weekends sometimes and it doesn't bother me.

Been experimenting with pre-fermentation and finally got a really good rise and chewy crumb on a cheese-heavy beer bread.

My bro got me a book that has really helped me up my bread game. It does have recipes in it but it's more technical (so to speak) info on bread starting from the verrrry basics of ingredients, terminology, dough handling, pretty detailed fermentation stuff.

It's called The Bread Baker's Apprentice if you or someone you know is into bread baking.

Pretty much my thoughts re my house my way. I don't ask for approval. Of course I won't act like a jerk in my house to company just because I feel like it but..for instance, my cats live here and you don't so STFU if you don't like cats. Haha.

Never shot. Held an unloaded gun twice in my life. I'm banned anyway so non-issue.

My friend has taught her children about guns from an early age and I think that's fine for them.
