New England End of Summer Beach Meet September 22nd 2012

Oh... Well I guess we'll have to see what happens. Hope I can get out there

 

I know this year they implimented "areas" for different types of ORVers...

I don't know the exact configuration but it was something like:

-First section, campers.
- Second, day trippers
- Third, people camping without a camper
- etc etc.

Now, I guess this was to organize the crazy busy summer rush, but now that we are "off-season", I wonder if this is still in effect, or back to the old "first come first serve whole beach" type of thought?

 

They ditched that rule a few weeks ago due to popular demand. The campers are still segregated but day trippers can go anywhere. And now there are no rangers so its whatever you can park a camper where you want to aswell(not that its smart due to tides. The main rules apply like no chasing plovers dont park below the hightide line and you got have all your gear. So having more than 20 people i dont think we will need to get a permit.
I still dont know if i can make it i probably have a race.

 

You can definatly leave your truck in the parking lot. You wont have to pay for a sticker either and ride out with someone.

I was out there labor day weekend and it was a ghost town for the day trip area's i would still recomend that you go the first mile to get a nice sandy spot.

 

yeah I'll do that. And I'll Give whoever I ride in the bed of their truck with a few bucks.

 

Salt shouldn't be too bad as long as you don't take the truck swimming.

 

Let me know what time your gonna be there and I'll give you a ride in. Oh and you don't need to give me anything.

General question, should I bring any burger meat or hotdogs? Stuff of that nature?

 

NP. I have to work till 1 so I expect to be there around 2:30. I'm bringing the burgers and dogs so we should be all set there. Is anybody bringing chips / soda?

 

No chips/soda that I know of!

I was thinking everyone could take ther own drinks, makes it a little easier.

It was a Red Jacket resort in South Yarmouth.

 

I can bring a few bags of chips and a couple liters of soda or sparkling water.

 

I think BYOD makes the most sense. No waste, no drinking Coke when you're a die-hard Pepsi fan.... That sort of thing!

 

I would love to join you guys but I am heading out of state for the week. BTW how do you handle a beach cookout without beer?

 

By sneaking it in and not talking about it.

Yep! Unfortunately. But I highly doubt that they will search your car like ICE does on the borders.

They didn't even notice the 4 cases of beer I brought back from Canadia lol

 

No room for booze . Only tools and parts . Plus idk if I'll be going .
