 Pop that plastic cover back on if your truck came with it so your filter stays clean.

Did you pull the foam filter inside? And the plastic cover that goes over it stock should fit with the uni breather no probs.

The lil plastic housing is back on i just took a pic before i put it back on because you cant see the filter when its on. And yes i did pull the foam off because the foam breaking down into the fan is the issue

Not sure the exact production date on it as I bought it used but figured its an easy enough fix that would avoid a big headache and plus its better than a stock filter anyway

I'd look into it. The warranty has been extended to 10 years, unlimited mileage on certain vehicles. They will only replace parts if there is a problem.

Make sure you keep your original parts should you need to bring the truck to a dealer.
