Just got my 03 truck back after a week at the dealer (Toyota West) in Columbus, Ohio. The two mechanics assigned to my truck did a fantastic job on the truck, and my truck feels brand new. No problems, no unusal bounce, no more soft frame..... If you live in the Columbus area, I highly recommend the dealer, but make sure you specifically ask for Brian Cochran be assigned to work on your truck.
I have before and after pictures of the truck if anyone is interested.
    :)

While the truck was in for the frame replacement, I had new shocks, water pump, all new belts including timing belt installed. I also had the fluids replaced. I will soon post the complete list of parts provided and replaced with the frame, all under Toyota recall warranty.

^Awesome pics! I can't even imagine the kind of money Toyota dumped out to replace that frame. I take a rough estimate between 10-12K?

You are right in the ball park... According to the dealer, each frame assembly is costing Toyota $10,995. This includes all the parts that is shipped along with the frame... I ended up spending an extra $600 out of pocket on all new belts, including timing belt, a new water pump, thermostat, oil change. I also bought my own new shocks and had the dealer install them free. I can't believe the difference in the overall ride qualitly and how much better the steering feels now. :)

Did you replace your front coil springs also? How many miles were on your truck when you had it done?

Did you have a perforation or just looked rusted like that? Curious to know because my frame looks worse then that but no perforation yet that I have found.

Second, did you have to pay only for the extra parts (timing belt, water pump, etc) and the install was free?

    Thanks

Just got mine back this week from the frame replacement. You only pay for items they had no reason to touch during the process. I paid for the timing belt and front bumper. Front bumper was rusted on the ends. Mine has 50k miles. They also replaced the rear springs and front end parts...brake lines all around some other bolts etc. Yes the total cost was almost 13k...oh and they did a great job too...no rattles or squeeks so far!!

Is the truck even worth 11k?
