Props on making your own. Like others said I think it would work better with something in the middle to break it up (TOYOTA, logo etc.)

    Thanks for all the feedback,

I thought about putting a bigger bar in the center of it with the Toyota letters but its already been done....the TRD pro grille as well as the BAMF. I think both grilles look cool but they're more ways to design the grille than just the raptor look. I want to give owners a way to make their truck unique while still looking BA.

Also I know it's probably a long shot but I'd rather avoid copyright infringement for the Toyota lettering in the design of the grill.

What I've thought about doing as an alternative, is to have an add on of smaller "Toyota" letters in the bottom right or left corner of the grille that would mount to the mesh. I think it would be somewhat different yet add just enough touch of originality.

Maybe start by having hard angles on the outer support bars to match the body angles more(1). Flatten the nose, I want it to stick out some like the pro grille but make the grille more flat with the front of the car, not so round. Design it with a little more space on the top and bottom of the middle section to add top and bottom light bars (2). On the outside a slight change, have 3 holes instead of 4, two the same size on the top and bottom then the middle sized so you can fit pod lights (3). Make the center bar solid and of course let everyone know what your driving with a TOYOTA slapped in the middle. Quick doodle of my .02 . If you make this I would want one of these please!!IMG_0828.jpg

I like grills like these. The top of the horizontal lines bulge meanwhile the bottom of them are flat.

Also I like how the ends of the horizontal lines taper inwards when they meet the surround.

bravo to OP for cool design. keep it up!

I also think somehow adding the old school "TOYOTA" would be a nice finishing touch.

I like this, however just use the pod lights on the side perhaps. The center part needs cut outs for airflow.

I think all you'd have to do is a little DIY project and just modify the Bamf grill to your design.

I was thinking I wanted to make one that looked like the Gen 1 tube grill I was such a fan of, but with the white TOYOTA stamp in white across to match my truck. I like what you have there too.

I don't follow, that removes all of the chrome that was there.

To give you somewhat of an idea of what it'll look like, here's a pic of the prototype that I made by hand a couple months back.

Yeah totally :D. Could just do pods instead of bars to keep 4 lights still. But it was just a 5 min drawing to inspire a new grille maybe. Wish I could make my own but sadly I dont have the tools to do it nor do i know where to start.

I forgot about airflow just wanted lights on lights on lights .

Apologies for the cell phone pics but was too excited when I got the the rough draft of the prototype mounted up.

    Will be posting more soon.
