Thanks! Actually that's what's planned! I got factory magnetic gray paint on the way!!! I'm putting a little twist on the black headlight mod. I'm also putting eyelids on (painted to match). I'll definitely post when they are done!

    Thanks!!

I just followed the awesome tutorial that jhodge83 put up:
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/wheels-tires/3804-ok-my-wheel-painting-kinda-walkthrough.html

Just follow those steps and you can't go wrong! Let me know if you have any questions... Don't worry about taping off the tires... they are black anyway and it comes right off. Also, use light coats so it doesn't drip.

Looks great! Take some high-temp black paint and put a thin coating on those shiney aluminum parts behind the grill to hide them. It doesn't have to be heavy, just enough to darken it and take the shine out.

Good idea! But will I mess up the radiator's ability to cool if I paint it?

As long as you keep it light, you shouldn't have a problem. I've done it on mine with no noticable increase in temp.

I used rustoleum black satin finish spray (the one for outdoor furniture so that it can withstand mother nature).

also use a gray primer... if you use black, it will be hard to see missed spots when it comes time to paint

Has anyone painted the badging? I have a Silver DC, and thought Black badging would look sick. Any thoughts?
Also, do I need to remove the grill emblem to paint it?

    Thanks.
