    Hi guys and girls
New to not only this site but to owning my first tacoma.
I have a 2001 tacoma with a 3.4L that was given to me from my older brother and I must say I absolutely love this truck! Im in the process of bringing it back up to my standards. .lol, lift kit new brakes, tires, bumpers, headlights etc..etc..the truck was well maintained with regular oil changes and tune ups so I'm pretty confident in the truck lasting even with 380,000 miles on it.as for questions as a new owner of this truck I'll leave the answers to you guys as most of you will know better than me.lol
My first question is I'm lifting the truck 3 inches in the front and 2 inches in the back and want to go with a bigger tire (obviously )could I get away with using a 295/75/16 with no issues as far as rubbing anywhere ?obviously after it is lifted..I also plan on using the factory rims which brings me to my next question. .what's the best paint to use to paint these (plan on painting them black)as you see in the picture the truck needs help..most of the parts been ordered. .bumpers, grill headlights etc..etc..also plan on putting in projector headlights and would love advice or thoughts on the process
    Thanks guys!

Welcome! As for the 295 tire you will have some rubbing issues. I personally like the look a 285 with a 3in lift gives and that size does not effect the gearing too much imo. You will still need to do the "pinch weld mod" for some bigger tires possible for clearance issues.

    Welcome to TW from VA!
I think with 295's you're bound to have some rubbing issues.

Yeah I'm going to stick with 285's..had a chance to look at what's involved as far as the damage to the front clip..not as bad as I thought, just need a new bumper, reinforcement bar,new bumper brackets, valance, top trim, grill, filler panel below the headlights, headlights and corner lights..smh..could be worse the rest of the truck is straight. .lol

Once I get everything off I'm going to have to heat this up and straighten it out in order to bolt up the bumper brackets. ..not the end of the world.I'll get it done
