New in the market, does this sale look suspicious?

I'm looking for a DCLB in the Northwest (WTB, anyone?) and I saw this posting. It looks like a pretty good option for me and its right in my price range. But I'm suspicious of it due to the amount of spelling and grammar errors in the post. I can forgive someone for that, especially if they're not a native english speaker, but it really raises some red flags.

I've sent an inquiry to get more information, but I though I'd poll the community here for their thoughts. Thank you in advance for your input.

To me, it doesn't sound like a scam at all and the price seems reasonable for an 8 year old truck with that many miles on it. I would definitely go check it out.

 

Doesn't read like an automated/scam listing to me at all.
Not an off-the-wall price. Note how the seller describes the wheels as TRD, not something generic like "new chrome 20" wheels with brand new tires". Doesn't refer you to purchasing it through his rich grandma in Guatemala or nothing.

 

When you say "its possible" are you indicating it may be higher or lower? I think its a fair price and I'd be willing to pay it, but I'd always like to increase the value:$ ratio.

I can definitely introduce it to some dirt.

 

doesn't look scammish. They'll usually have few pics and also the background will look like it doesn't belong. If that was a so cal ad it would scream scam. Also look at the phone looks to be a WA area code. Now i've seen legit sellers have out of state numbers but it's less common.

 

I've texted and emailed, figured it wouldn't hurt to try and I can always block the number. But given the number of "Rachel from Member Services" robo dials I've been getting lately, from local area codes, I figured it wouldn't be hard to fake/spoof a local number for a CL ad.

Looks legit to me. Why would you only replace the two front tires though? Simple alignment problem or something else? Stopped right after the front wheels passed the Spike strip? Lol

Looks like a real ad and average price. Give it a shot.

 

Can't speak for the seller, but you should replace the rears if only doing 2. No problem for me to rotate them.

 

Update for all interested, I'm in contact with the seller who's been communicative but not over-eager. The seller has answered a few questions and sent the VIN so I can check it out.

Any specific questions apart from the standard used vehicle questions that I should consider asking?
