    So im putting a (Pioneer FH-P8000BT) stereo. 6 1/2 MB-quarts rwe-160 components. 2 kenwood KFC-XW1000F 10" Shallow subwoofers. and an Eclipse PA5422 4-channel amp. in a custom box.

A buddy and i spent the better part of yesterday making the box and i did most of the wiring this morning. now im just waiting for him to get here with the speakers and box. i only bought one sub yesterday thinking i was going to go over budget but it turns out i can afford the other one so i will install it monday night.

ill keep posting as we go this is probably gonna take till next weekend to get it completely finished and upholstered. let me know what ya think. And ill keep posting.

Now im not the pro here but my friend thinks he can mount them in the door. im running the wires from the amp to the harness behind the stereo, instead of havin to go through the door with new cables.

This is what we got finished today. basically all I need now is to get the other sub Monday and then tech stuff is outta the way.

    X-over fits perfect!
traced factory 6x9 on MDF, then cut wit jigsaw to make adapter plate. painted black so you couldnt see through grill.
dont have a pic but i put the twetters in the door panels factory tweet location with hot glue. its a temp fix cause i didnt have backstrap.

    Excellent work so far.

And yes, I know that deadening makes the world of difference. It's the most critical part of the installation that is most often overlooked.

So im bout done. i spent about 5 hours workin on it today.:bored: Still gotta make a trim piece for the top tomorrow but that should be easy.sounds and looks great. as you can see i did put dynamat behind and above the box. i plan on the near future putting some in the doors as well. i tapped the back wall before and after the dynamat install and noticed a considerable difference.

Sweet action man! I want to hear this setup. You should hop on www.DFWAudioClub.com and meet some local people. We do meets every so often and we'd be happy to have you come out with the truck. It would be nice to have another Taco out there!
