new iphone- 3gs

Anyone looking to get one? I have had it with nextel/sprint. I have used them for 10 years. My last phone broke in half and they wouldn't insure it (what good is the insurance) since it was damaged beyond repair....so, i picked up a new black berry nextel. the ball broke within a month...got a replacement. now the internet, email, texts all stopped working. they have to order another one.

I have been wanting an iphone for a while and now the new ones will be out shortly, well, the day I get back from vacation I have an ipod touch so I know how they function for the most part. I refuse to stand in line for 10 hours to get something like a phone so I hope there are some left by the time I roll out of bed and head over there.

Any thoughts on the new iphone? Its base model is 16 gig for 199. the old iphone dropped to $99 for the 8 gig and $149 for the 16 gig. It doesnt make sense to save 50 bucks to me when I could have a phone that has better battery life, is faster, and a few other new features.

The new iphone will have video and a faster processor with some other cool features, i have the 8gig 3g phone and will wait on this one really no need to get it right now, but for you i would definately consider the phone.

my 3g has horrible battery life.....gone in 1 day but i use it 4 EVERYTHING im actually typing on it right now )

already preordered a 32gig from the apple store. have had the original iphone for a little over a year now and have been waiting for the features this new one has. you can also go to an apple store and preorder the phones.

 

I've got a white 16GB 3G...first phone that is actually entertaining to me. I like WinMo still but the app store on here and the web browser just can't be beat.
Personally I feel the processor is slow and the internet speeds aren't the best but the battery life is good and so is everything else.
I'm contemplating selling my current iPhone to buy a white 16GB 3G S...but I'm stuck in the middle cause it's basically the same thing just a bit faster and with a video recorder.

If you don't own a 3G then wait for the 3G S, it will be worth it over buying a current 3G model.

my new alpine HU is 3G compatible. the old ones were not

THe updates are so quick though thats what i like about apple support.

 

yeah my wife got the iphone when it first came out so i paid some good money then she needs a new one so who knows i might buy her the new one.

 

I also bought it when it first came out a very pretty penny. Some reason a month or so after the warranty was out the bottom half of the touch screen stopped working. Sucks to be me, out 600 or so dollars after shipping and all that mess. I'm with verizon now, much better service around here. And plus the phone I have now, has everything the iPhone has and many more. AT&T gets a from me. Oh yea.. apple does to. lol

 

Yeah thats wierd my wifes iphone still looks the way it did when i bought it, she still has the original plastic over the screen she keeps here phone nice and clean

 

I had a 16GB 3G, sold it for $600, cancelled AT&T and paid the $150 disconnection fee. Since I still had $450 left, I pre-ordered the iphone 16GB 3GS ($199) and signed up with AT&T again. Now I'm going to have the new 16GB 3GS and i'm $250 dollars richer ... don't hate the playa, hate the game .

 

$250 to pay the att bill!
