My truck only came with 1 key fob so I want to get another one but the dealer quoted me a ridiculous price. I found one on ebay thats from a 2017, will it work on my 2016 if I get it reprogrammed? I've searched the threads but can't seem to find a solid answer about the reprogramming process and I have no expierence with this. Thanks!

Short answer though is there is no easy way to do it yourself without buying OBDII cables, counterfeit texhstream software, and “ online tokens”.

Would be easiest and probably around the same price to bring it to a dealer or locksmith who is able and willing to program OEM Toyota Keys.
