He made this past due, shitty thread to send customers to his website to buy them, doesn’t answer any questions at all for months and when he does he says “call in and order!”

Well, fuck that. If he wants to advertise, make a sticker for the urinal wall. If you’re going to go on a free public forum and link your business, answer a god damn question or two.

Not only that, he hasn’t logged into TW since May.

Lot of great vendors selling Kings, and none of them are this dude.

This thread is a year old, if you get 3” of extra travel it’s already proven and out there. But like y’all said, sounds like bullshit.

Yes these work with stock length lowers .
As for the claimed 3in of travel increase “well” the wording isn’t from us it’s the general description from King Shocks . Basically a press release that most and almost every dealer uses.
I have not nor have we as a shop measured the wheel travel differences from stock.

Think we corrected and then when the new info comes through it reverts to the original template . Will fix .

As far as performance these truly shine over every other shock we have tested . And that’s why I don’t get to post on here to much to busy working and figuring out how to make what’s currently good better . And spend a lot of time on the phone and social media answering questions about these and many other shocks . Sorry only so much one can do in a day. Literally I could spend 16-18 hrs just answering msg, questions and giving out info and that’s all. But then I alienate Every other avenue that we have for business. And everything else it takes to keep my business going . And not to mention take care of issues on orders that we have to address. And helping people over msg and phone at 11- midnight who are stuck on install issues and need a vehicle for next day . Again I wish I could spend every day on here and just chat it up with everyone . But that’s not the case. Honestly That’s why I direct most to call. Most don’t see or realize what we and others put into it all as business .

Enough of the. I’m a shitty vendor blah blah defense from me.

    Let’s talk shocks .

Again travel claims are there and in the suspension world just like horsepower it’s more about the control than actual travel numbers.
I have spent over a year working with king on making this setup better. And finally I think I’ve reached a happy spot. At least for now.

    Cons
The 3.0s are over engineered ! How well they are designed for one purpose . To be a bolt on alternative to LT Kit but with set backs .
Like ride height. Similar to the 8112s from Bilstein (which are great) the ride height is limited to about 2.25 to 2.5 .
Also it’s a 550 lb spring. So if you plan on adding any extra weight we’ll you are going to pay.
Price for the money they are pricy ! One could build a entire 2.5 with leaf and UCA for the cost of the 3.0s and be happy.
Cost of upgrading springs . If you want a different spring we’ll its not cheap . But we could always do a custom build for you just takes typical lead times .
So wheel and tire choices are slim. Right can’t buy these and expect 35s to fit
Rear shock lengths are pretty much standard and not a fan of the rear top mount .

    Pros
Ultra smooth on and offroad . Mainly on road.
Internal Bypass tech really works great .

For those that want the performance of for say a 2+ LT kit or in many cases a 3+. With out the excess of glass fenders wider stance and what not this is a great alternative.

    Final con
Not too many shops or vendors have worked with ibp shocks or have tried to make any changes to improve these . King still asks us how we sell so many.

Obviously it’s not from TW . (Bad joke)

Again my apologies for not being able to answer or respond. Honestly . And again if you have questions and don’t get a response call us . I don’t alway get the notifications. Or it’s lost in all the notification I get. But I will work on trying to be more active . Again not perfect by far and growing to fast that it’s hard to keep up. And not enough knowledgable people out there that can understand valving and shock technology looking for work.

I’ve spent almost a year now on these and now that I like the way they ride hopefully have time to install the front bumpstops . We also have planned to add a secondary bypass to see what we can do or if it’s a waste.

@Despized i just purchased a set of King 3.0 front and rear. I was looking to upgrade the spring rate from the standard 550lb to a 650lb or 700lb spring for the additional weight I have in the front I.e steel bumper, skids, winch. I know that the ID is 3.75” but is the spring length 13”?

Tuned Fox 2.5 resi with dsc, JBA HD UCA, total chaos knuckle gussets, rear trd pro fox shocks, Deaver U402 stage 1 rear leafs, archive garage u bolt flip with fox 2.0 air bumps, White knuckle off road rock sliders, BAMF 1/4” steel skids, Magnaflow exhaust, Archive Garage Hammer Hangers, Cbi high clearance rear bumper, 285/75/16 tires.
I’m curious what the travel of the front 3.0 coilovers is? What’s the extended and compressed length? I see that you have had them apart for tuning. I heard they were 5.2 inch travel in the front, can you confirm this or let us know what the numbers are.

So you can't fit 35" tires with these 3.0 Kings? Because you definitely can with the 2.5 Kings
