The projector lights have a great cutoff and the light is controlled, not scattered like the LED
lights that blind the on coming traffic

It’s not that hard to do, there are others that do this service,
The 7x6 are harder to do, the others the projector will fit in.

It will cost you are 220-250 if you do it yourself with the harness.

Others want up to 700 to do this

There are two benefits of that swap:

    1. projector will give supreme cut-off
    2. HID will give additional lumens where it suppose to be

The only thing I probably would not like is projector retrofit with LED bulb (instead of HID). On my last trip to California I drove 2019 rental Corolla with LED projectors from the factory. I hated that thing. While it had fantastic cut off, the illuminating of the road was worse than my H4 stock halogen in Autopal E-cut reflector. And driving at night with rain was quite thrilling adventure. Especially when now LED are so cheap that many a-holes put them in they old F150 or Suburban and many times I was driving blind. I hate that $hit in California.

I have those too, and I installed it along with a bypass harness that connects the lights directly to the battery. It definitely improves the brightness.

Just in case you missed it, DO NOT install these bulbs without the "bypass harness". Otherwise you will burn your headlight switch in no time.

These 100W bulbs are listed "off road" just for legal reason - they can't be certified for "on road" because the language of the "legal lighting" limits the incandescent bulbs wattage and lumen output. It is stupid as modern cars with HID with much higher lumen output is road legal. I guess this is the old "language" that was intended for 50's style reflectors (like H6054 sealed beam) that don't have any cut-off so the only way to make them not blinding is limit the lumen output. However with correct hut-off the lumen output should not be so drastically limited by the "legal language".

What I'm trying to say, I'm sure these bulbs can be used on road despite the "off road only" marks if mounted in quality reflector with proper cut-off (not cheap China $shit that only "looks cool" but scatters light all over the place).

So the stock reflectors will work fine for the new bulbs?

If you have OEM (meaning something like PO did not replace them with cheap ebay/china stuff) they are the best.

No they look oem, guessing that because I've had to buff them more than once. Utah sun is brutal

This is often underestimated thing in headlights output. When the light output sucks many will look into replacing bulbs for higher lumen but it will not help if lens are "fogged". Often it is just a surface that can be polished but with the age eventually the entire plastic deteriorates and it can't be buffed out anymore.

By the way this applies not only to reflector housing but projectors too. Dirty or "foggy" housing will scatter the projector light too.
