    The only thing that I like about this is that it creates competition which typically leads to lower prices

    It’s not going to be till June. Ordering process has been seemless, did hurt putting up the full price tag. I’ve been in contact with the owner through email and he has been informative and transparent so far. So I got my fingers crossed

    These are cool, but holy shit…that’s more than I paid for this ole girl in beautiful shape with only 41k miles on her. I get that they serve different purposes, but still.

    I'd agree. Really up in the air about it. Do we know if anyone else has posted reviews on the set up? I saw they have brand ambassadors

    They have brand ambassadors but it’s only for promotion purposes, no one has received one.

    The price is very tempting but I want to see more of it before I purchase.

    I ordered one as well. I've been following on IG, following a thread over on ExPo... I figured I'd give it a shot.

    It fixes the one biggest issue I have with the GFC: The bed. If I could get a GFC with a longer bed/push up platform, it'd be perfect. Also, the cost is much more palatable. Even a GFC is $10k+ for an east coaster. I only have two options out here: Snap! Outfitters and an Alu-cab ACCC. Both are $12k+.

    I have a pretty good idea of why it's cheaper, of course - looks like the final product will be assembled in the US, but not fully made in the US. I stumbled upon an article yesterday on Gearjunkie that explicitly mentions the owner's experience in offshore manufacturing: https://gearjunkie.com/camper-rv/lone-peak-camper

    I know that makes it a non-starter for many people, and while I'm all for 100% US made goods, the truth is, I can't afford any of the US-made options at the present moment. I'm simply trying to put together a travel setup on a tight budget that meets some very specific requirements, and this is the only solution I found that meets my needs.

    I also looked up reviews for Kyle's (the owner) other company, Rhino Camera Gear. Seems to make some really innovative top-notch stuff (and this is dated from 2019): https://fstoppers.com/originals/rhino-arc-ii-review-best-motion-controller-weve-used-430733

    Another one from further back: https://www.geekwire.com/2015/rhino-camera-gear-2/ from 2016

    I've been chatting with Kyle, seems like an honest easy going guy.
    He has answered all my question and concerns.
    I like the design and the price. Just wished upcoming life events weren't in the way of me making a solid camper choice.

    Agreed. I sent him an email yesterday with some questions and he responded with 2 hours, after hours. Communication has been top notch.

    100% payment to reserve a topper from a new company with one a single prototype? Giant Red flag…. I’m not saying the owner is dishonest. I’m just saying the chances of the company going under before anything even makes it out the door is hight.

    Going back through the thread, looks like there's just a couple of us:
    @Zillon
    @Terraj66

    I've been following along on IG - Kyle (the owner) has shared some in depth live sessions regarding some redesigns of the tent and structure, and so far, all looks positive.

    Hoping everything stays on track and June/July remains the target date.
