Right, that's for orders placed today. It's a rolling date.

Initial orders are still tracking for June/July.

Yeah, should have said that. Lead time looks to be holding 7-8 months

Yep I’m still counting down the days. Thinking of drawer setups that will compliment it

Single latch would be concearning since that means the edges can be pryed up easily.

Single latch release, dual latch. Exactly like a garage door with a central handle.

I've thought about drawers, but want to stay light weight and keep the bed space intact.

I've thought about building out a shallow bench/storage box for one side, just barely deeper than the, but otherwise adding nothing but a bedrug to the inside. I still need to use my truck for truck stuff.

Yep thinking of one side only, just the height of the bed and doubling it as a seating bench when inside.

Would also serve as a nice step-up for the sleeping platform.

I plan on skipping the ladder, so this is a major consideration for me. I prefer things to have more than one function.

Wish they would let people test it like they did for GFC. I would actually test it out in hard trails. Good introductory price though.

You say the entry price is tempting... but you look like you have a direct connection and you're affiliated. Seems like a bit of a feign?

    Just the basics
Neat new addition to the wedge world. I like the design of the netting on the outside. Still nothing compares to Vagabond as the copied the FWC window design which was tried and true for a couple decades.

Subscribed. This looks interesting to me and I'm anxious to see some actual implementations and real world feedback. Thanks to you guinea pigs. I may end up an early-ish adopter if this pans out as I'm looking to take the plunge maybe next summer. I really want to be able to fit in my garage or even better have a way to remove it and store it part of the year. Using the T-slots for some jacks might work. Super Pacific made reference to something like that when I reached out to them.

Some folks should have gotten theirs by now... I'm not seeing any reviews? Anyone?

I saw a quick 5min video of them installing the first one on a Tacoma a week or so ago. It sounded like the first time they were field testing the Tacoma style also. No clue how many others have been put out but they said that was serial 001

Yes, the first one went on a Tacoma, SN 0001, at the end of last week.

Budloomis on IG iirc if you want to see more.

There were loads of delays around a few crucial parts, hence the much later than originally promised release date.

Some of the people who are first in line have had their initial conversations with LP about verifying their order and options. I don't think a single person, other than 0001, has had the 'final' conversation with them, which includes the date you should arrive to get it installed.

Thx! Yeah I found the weekly production update videos on their site after I posted last night.

After watching the vids, my takeaway is that there have been soooo many changes made in last 6 months, that I can't even trust any of the measurements and specs. Different temt materials, more coatings, different hinge materials, tent rear angle changes, tent support changes, strut placement, changes to tables and supports, straps to cables, etc. They all sound like design improvement tweaks... but all looked to add weight. So now one of the big selling points, lighter than other popups, may not be true. Weight is a super critical spec for tacoma owners, with an actual 1150 lb payload on most 4x4 in real world!

Anyways, all these tweaks and water tightness and wind resistance etc need to be actually tested by owners and reported on, before I could trust giving my $$.

    But I am interested...

Serial number 002 has been built and put on the truck as well.

Here is the latest video update. Basically they plan to install the 300+ current orders between now and March.

    • Wish they were doing deposits instead of needing full prepayment for something 5 months out or it turns into a year, then the whole “they aren’t returning my calls” thing.
