    Greetings from Rockville, MD.

I recently received a 2000 Pre-Runner from my brother when he purchased a new daily driver. Unfortunately he was a little lax in the maintenance department and the truck needs a new timing belt before the 12 year old, 160k mile belt snaps. Does anybody local to the DC area have the crank holder tool I could borrow/rent for a weekend? I can pay in cash or beer.

    Thanks!
    Patrick

Most of the motors are non interference motors at least the 3.4 V6 so if the belt snaps you don't have to replace the engine...just buy a new belt and put it on. Definitely do your research on these trucks, you will be amazed at what you find and everything they make for these things.
