    Hi guys,

I just purchased a 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road, 4x4 in Magnetic Gray. It currently has 541 miles. :)

I found this site while searching the internet for modifications I wanted to do to my truck.

I must say..., "WOW! There's so much information!"

I hope to eventually contribute something worthwhile during my time here.

    Cheers from California!

    :)

Welcome to the site hide your wallet put all credit cards in blocks of ice and do research all mod options as there seems to be pros and cons to a lot of them.

Every time I see your avatar at first glance I see a panda drinking a beer, not sure why my mind works that way.

Picture it this way. The two eyes would be the ears and the bear is kind of looking down and the mustache would be were the Bears eyes would be, the rest of the black is the Bears body.

    Too late.

"What has been seen, cannot be unseen!"

I'll admit. It's seems pretty gnarly in there.

    I'm thinking functional mods first:

Clazzio leather seats to keep my stock seats in good condition (maybe)
A Homelink mirror or button for convenience
LED cabin lights to help me see at night
DIY mud flaps to protect my undercarriage & paint
Oem bed mat so i don't have to tie everything down
...and a roll up bed cover of some kind. Nothing fancy, just something to keep my items dry-ish, safe from lazy thieves, and prevent stuff from flying away
Plastidip front grille for cheap cosmetic enhancement.

If I can get everything for under a $1000, i'll be happy.

    ---
    Bigger tires
    Rims
    Lift kit
    TRD Pro grille or comparable
    Sliders

I think these can wait till after I pay down/off the financing. By then I might want to change the look of the truck.

I think stock the truck is beautiful, amiright?

    :)

If I was doing leather, and I have considered it, I would get the katskins. Your other functional mods just keep your eye open in the classifieds and you'll save a bit. As far as lifting and bigger tires, do it now. You won't love your truck till you park it and look back three times just to see how bad ass it looks and see other people checking it out as well.

Only had mine about 4 months and I am already in 1200, looking at another 3 or 4 thousand over the next couple of years. Armor costs the most at 1000 for for front bumper and 1000 for rear bumper unless you can find a deal. Then another 1000 for all the underside skids. Lift kit, rims and tires will be another 1200. These are just estimates on buying new stuff. Then all the little mods add up to about another 1000. Truck is turning into my wife. "Give me your money!!!"
