Hello TacomaWorld! I actually became a Tacoma owner about 1.5 years ago, after my '11 WRX was smashed by a speeding driver. It's an '05 TRD Offroad with Tow Package, 183k miles and for the most part solid and no issues. I always loved Tacomas since driving several in my younger years. I'm a long time Toyota fan, and have had a '91 turbo MR2 for over ten years now.

Using information from threads on this forum, I just replaced my tires with Firestone Destination A/T P265/75/16s. I know, "Why a P rated tire on an offroad?", but 95% of my miles are on road for the time being. Plus, I wanted a quiet ride and these Firestones no longer some in an LT/C, only E. The slight increase in size from stock looks great, and there is zero rubbing even at full turn. I will probably get some r/t's or m/t's as a second set if I decide to do some towing or off roading. These new ones replaced some old goodyear r/t's that I actually liked, but praise function over all else.

Another note, using information from this forum as well, I asked the shop to lubricate the slip yoke on the drive shaft. I had the "bump" at stops and starts on the road, and refused to believe it was axle wrap with new leaf springs on the truck since I bought it. Sure enough, the bump is gone!

My next few items on my list:
A new wheel sensor (code 34)
Remote Start (I have the anti theft so a bypass is needed as well)
New in dash head unit (looking for suggestions, I want NAV and bluetooth primarily)

Are there any "must haves" for 2nd gen Tacos that I should know about? As long as it doesn't kill fuel mileage I'm open to ideas!

    Anyways thank you for reading!
