I was told about this website through another member/brother "Voodoo". I contemplated getting a Jeep Grand Cherokee, but I pulled the trigger on a 2011 Silver Toyota Tacoma PreRunner (base model). I feel like I made the right decision :D

Quick Question: How stupid would Bilstein 5100s front and back and 1.5" AAL look on a base tacoma with 245/75/16 tires?

I don't think it's technically a base model if it's a prerunner. Base models are the baby tacos with the cute little five lug rims :D and yeah it'd look pretty goofy I have a 2in lift on 265's and I can pull it off just barely without looking ridiculous

and welcome from Cali as well!

Ohh I thought it was considered "base" because it wasn't an SR5. Guess I was wrong.

Since it doesn't sound like you want to lift the truck very much it probably won't look all that different, it will however, ride a lot better

Yea I would most likely just level it and and a 1.5" AAL. I'm more of one of those people who does things more for the performance side than the aesthetic side.

Well if you're looking to level it, keep in mind if you set the front 5100's above 1.75 inches you will run into issues with alignment and the ride will be stiffer than stock in the front. I don't remember the difference height wise from front to back on a stock truck but u may want to bust out a tape measure and measure from the center of the hubs to the bottoms of the fenders and compare the two. IIRC you would have to go quite a ways up in the front especially if you plan to add an AAL in the rear as well.
