Greetings friends, this is my first post on the forum, I recently just bought my first Tacoma, a 2007 TX edition Tacoma double cab 2wd.

I am using this as a daily driver and am mostly running it on streets and highways although I do occasionally go over some dirt roads or bumpy areas for shooting.

Was looking to lift my truck
(at least 2 inches) for a more aggressive look but didn’t want to drop $3,000 on a kit since it’s mostly for looks. Am trying to spend no more than $1000 total on parts including installation. Something that will not throw my car out of wack and is decent quality as well as not wrecking my mpg. I have looked into some rough country stuff spacers as well as this suspense suspensions lift kit i found on Amazon.

    Here’s my truck currently

    Thanks in advance friends!

Bilstein 5100s x4. Pick an OME or toytec spring to give you 2” up front, get a progressive add a leaf for the rear, install, align & done.

Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road can help you.

If you just want it level without worrying about the rear, get Bilstein 5100's all the way around and set it on 3rd highest setting

Don’t do a spacer lift you’ll regret it. You could do spindles an keep the stock struts or go with toytec has a good selection or ome 884 or 885 an aal for the rear would give you about 2in an better ride quality. Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road will answer all your questions she very knowledgeable an they have great customer service an free shipping.

Haven't dealt with Headstrong, but I've heard nothing but good things. There are great lift options out there for WAYYY under 3k. I spend most of my time on the road, but I'm happy with the ride quality and off-road performance of OME coils and 5100's. AAL in the rear would be ok if you don't plan on carrying much weight/towing. I know some tend to sag. If you have the money, go with a replacement leaf pack. That should keep you in the 1000-1500 dollar range I'd think after installation. Also not familiar with maxtrac spindle lift, but seems worth looking into for sure

I think the entire OME kit from headstrong, including dakars runs somewhere in the $1300 range. Not a bad deal if you can install it yourself.

This is what headstrong gave me to identify what I might want to use, they was very helpful haven’t ordered mine yet but there prices seemed really good or at least the same as other places I looked , mine being regular cab was gonna go with 883’s with 5100 set at 0 was gonna give me closer to level , not sure what the best coil would be for ur truck but this chart might help to get an idea

Someone else with an 07' TX Edition! What up?

Also looking to lift mine. After some recommendations from the group and research on the forum , I'm fairly certain I'm going with the 5100's on OME 886 Springs (Because I'm a big dude, and I'm thinking about a baja front bumper/skid with a winch eventually). Not 100% sure what to do in the rear, like others are saying, add a leave (AAL) or progressive rear springs in tandem with the 5100's, I've been looking, not very actively yet, for pics of that set up in the rear, but haven't found it yet.

Haven't checked out headstrong, but I've been perusing Amazon and found some pretty solid prices on kits. Same as you, I'm looking for something to give it a more aggressive look and nice ride as a daily driver and hop on a trail without skipping a beat.

Rough country will work, 80% of lifted trucks run blocks and spacers. There not the best though and are looked down upon on this site

You know its true man lol practically every truck on the road has a dang spacer lift on it. Definitely better options out there for not much more cost though
