bought a 2005 Tacoma quad cab 4x4 with 81k miles on it on Monday. I can't figure out if the truck has day time running lights. There are no front amber lights on when the parking lights are on but they flash during turn signal activation. They are on in the rear but not the front. Headlights come on when I turn them on but still no amber light illumination. How do I check to see if I have DRLs?

The outside temperature display doesn't work. Is this a easy (inexpensive) fix?

I think there is a front left wheel bearing going bad. I didn't notice this until the day after buying the truck when I had to drive a long country back road. Long sweeping right turns at 45-60 mph is quiet and smooth however once the road straightens or sweeps left there is a subtle groan to the left front.

thankfully I take the truck back to the dealer on Monday because there is a small 2k mile warranty. They won't say if the bearing it covered but say "bring it in so we can look the truck over and decide". So Monday to the dealer it goes.

other than the above the truck is quite nice. It replaced a 2001 F150 crew cab getting 13 mpg on the highway.
