    Hello, first post, but I have been lurking for a while. My wife and I bought a 2008 double cab, v6, mt, tacoma in december. Didn't know it at the time, but it ends up being a rugged trail model. Learned that from here... just thought it was a trd off road. Don't think that sub model adds a lot to the off road/ trd, but it was a nice surprise to have a rarer model for that year. It's white with 73,000 miles, and in good shape. Been having a lot of fun on the forum researching mod's and what others have done to theirs. Definitely inspired to make it even nicer than it already is and to keep it as clean as I can. Lot of great ideas on detailing tips I've started using from here. It's fairly stock, other than previous owner lifted it a couple of inches, and put a sport hood on it. Also has different black wheels on it, but I'm tempted to go back to stock rims, which were 16" black baja wheels for the rugged trail models, that I think looked pretty nice. Put Clazzio leather seat covers on, and new off road rubber mats, both which are really nice. Also installed a pop and lock pl5200 tailgate handle lock, which adds a piece under your stock tailgate handle with a separate key that keeps your handle from moving when locked. I think it's going to work out well. Did the LED interior light, changed all the fluids, as well as a few other things learned here as well.

    Anyway, having a blast with the truck and this forum... big thanks to all who have posted all the info here that helps me immeasurably.
