Yeah it comes down to money. Spending all my cash on the truck itself right now. That's a damn good offer though, if it's still around when I stop buying big things for the truck I might have a look.

does turning tires to black wall out count? How bout added snug top rebel.
How much snow did everyone get?
We got 2-3" in Rio Rancho with 6-10" drifts in some spots. Roads are like a sheet of ice where they haven't salted yet.

Finally got to try out the abs on ice, first real storm since I bought the truck three years ago. I had read on TW about these horror stories of people unable to stop on ice because of the abs. Worked perfectly for me, exactly as expected. I'm thinking that my Michelin AT2s make a big difference vs the stock dunflops. Just glad I got to go experiment this morning when I really had nothing to do or nowhere to go, now I know what to expect.

About 2" around Paseo & Ventura. Still coming down but very lightly. Roads look slick as hell. Walked to the neighbors, who are out of town, to check on their house and ended up on my ass. Be careful out there.

Good luck man, I don't think they're as prepared down south for that much snow!

Oh sweet, you live off Old Santa Fe Trl. I worked in SF for 20 years delivering boxes, so I was just wondering.

About the same over here (Academy/Eubank). Got some bigger drifts in the backyard thanks to the wind.

Did anyone else go out and play? I couldn't take the cabin fever and took a drive out to Cedro Peak to mess around. There was 8-12" in most spots out there, sitting on top of frozen remnants from the last storm. The lockers got a workout.

Yeah, its nice out here. Perfect balance of being close to town yet far enough away to enjoy mountain life. I actually just moved here in November from San Francisco, CA.

That's awesome, wish I could have done the same, but I'm finally getting my winter tires today, so maybe we can plan some little meetups to mess around.

I'd have been out there again yesterday, but came down with the flu. Good times. Keep an eye on the NM Adventure Series thread for upcoming runs. We usually do one on MLK day.

Me and Slobra went up the Crest road on Sunday, got about a mile from the top before we decided it wasn't worth going forward - about 3 feet of snow and no one had been up as far as we had gone yet anyways. Lot of pulling people out. I nearly got ran over by an idiot that didn't realize I was blocking the road with my truck for a reason. I was laying under a car hooking up shackles to winch him out and the shithead nearly ran over the part of me that was sticking out. Lesson learned, we posted road guards after that shit.

That road is absolute chaos with people who don't know how to drive or just make stupid decisions.

Damn, glad you're OK. Lots drivers around here are idiots enough as it is. Add snow or rain and some of them lose what's left of the minds.

Good on you for pulling people out.
