Haha, it's just white. It's probably the lighting when I took that photo.... Or you might be crazy. Can't rule that out.

And yeah coming from a 2008 Jeep, I feel like I'm driving a spaceship!

definitely a few dashes of crazy here.

but the only thing i didnt like about the 3rd gens is the nothin-till-2k rpm power band. seems like toyota was only shooting for a peak horsepower that looked good on a spec sheet.
idk, just used to the quick torque of the 4.0 and my old 3.4 i guess

Unfortunately it took the OV tune and regear to 5.29’s for me to finally enjoy how it drives.

The other day @TacoIII and I talked about starting up the monthly brewpub meets again, but of course, we're all still dealing with COVID, so a brewery probably isn't the best option yet. Anyway, he has a big back yard and plenty of space for us to hang out. So if anyone is interested, shoot one of us a pm, and we'll get you the address. We're two weeks out so just trying to give people some notice.

    Date: Thursday, February 4th
    Time: 5:30pm
    Where: @TacoIII Backyard

Hey, welcome! Sorry I should have mentioned we're in Albuquerque so a little ways from you. Definitely interested in getting other meets together.

Bummer! I'm in Albuquerque periodically, but won't be up there that week.

I got COVID shot 1 of 2 today.... Hopefully we'll be back to normal by summer.

Count me in for future meet-ups (especially if they occur at breweries!).

Totally understandable but for future reference we hold the meets the first Thursday of the month. Considering the way things have been with COVID we put a pause on them for a while.

My GF got her second one a week or so ago but I'm sure it'll be a while before I'm able to get my first. I'm hopeful things will be a little more normal come summer time but I guess we'll see how things go.

It’s sitting at the same height. They just rebuilt and revalved the coilovers and set the preload to the same height. I don’t know if the rear rebuild will change the rear height when that happens in the next couple weeks

I’ve been the running fender flare-less look for a year and a half? I really like it personally. It’s messier than normal. My truck gets dirty if I even look at a mud hole. But I love it. Make sure you look at this thread... covering the holes left when you pull the flares is key.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...the-fenders-after-removing-the-flares.304366/

and here’s one on some group trail ride in Wisconsin. I was the only muddy one :anonymous:

now time to spend way too much time looking at pictures of trucks. the 2nd gens are so "bubbly" and removing the fender makes it a bit more sleek. but we will see how i feel once i get bumpers and sliders on the big white buffalo.
