    Hey everyone,
I was a former member a long while ago and was locked out of my old email account so here I am with a new user name. I have a 1st Gen Prerunner with 265k miles and counting. Love this truck! I have been gone awhile because I must have gotten delusional and bought a Jeep Wrangler last February. Please don't flame me too much for that! Trust me, I learned my lesson. I still have the Jeep and the Tacoma. I have spent more money on this Jeep that is a 2004 with less than 80k miles than I ever have on major maintenance for my Taco. Sad, but true. Right now I would drive my Taco to California and back without hesitation and I am in NC.....I would drive the Jeep as long as I had a tow truck following me with plenty of tools and spare parts.
A new tacoma was my first choice, but at the time I didn't think I could afford one. I should have done more research. Anyway, I'm happy to say that I am planning on buying either a new or semi-new double cab this time next year and can't wait. So excited to be getting back into a new tacoma. My dream truck has always been a SWB DC 4wd......if I don't end up getting a new one then I will be seriously looking for my SWB!
Sorry for the book I have written by the way! Just excited!
    :p

    Welcome.

I just retired my 1999 Prerunner and got a 2012 4x4. Toyota has made a lot of changes in last 13 years. I kind of miss the "smallness" of the 99 - but there's a whole lot to like about the new ones.
