Just purchased a 2006 TRD sport Dbl cab pre-runner.

I have the standard single disk radio. I'm wanting to put in an XM tuner and was wanting to see where everyone mounts the receiver. I did a search and only found posts for the factory install tuners for the upgraded factory units.

Also what type and brand of oil does everyone use?

I have the XM tuner. I bought the $55ish tuner from Wal Mart. It has the FM modulator that snaps on the antenna. I mounted the radio above the CD insert. I put the Sat antenna on the passenger side roof, ran the wire under the moulding of the windshield into the vehicle.

You can work the wires from the receiver into the gaps between stock radio and dashboard. I hid the 3-way modulator/sat antenna junction in a recess behind the left side of glove compartment. It is tight, but will fit and be totally out of the way.

Give it a try. If you have problems, I could include a photo showing the path I took and where the triple-junction goes.
