Went to Leith Toyota in Raleigh, NC this morning with the new TSB in hand...once I got to speak to the service manager it was no problem at all. Getting the TSB work done the week of Oct 13, since I'll be out of town a bit until then.

    Thanks for posting the update!!

Here is some insight in how Toyota looks at issues it has with its product line. After Toyota has come up with a new design they begin to manufacture parts for that car or truck to send to the assembly line then they need to make extra parts for those cars. They have to have parts on the self for 10 years for those models so they make a lot of extras. If they find a concern with a part along the way they evaluate the problem on how many complaints they are having is it safety related and so on so lets say you have a 1000 trucks and only 20 are complaining about springs it is not a problem in their eye's. They are not going to trash 1000s of leaf springs and loose all that money they keep using them. I have seen this go on for years with Toyota taking off a known bad part and installing the same exact part under warranty. Now once they have exhausted their inventory of that part they will introduce a new part usually the same part with a prefix number added to the end.

Yeah....I'm feeling the same way- Kind of a bit ticked. I got told this wasn't an issue which is why my truck was eligible- and lo and behold- NOW...It is.

I'll be making a phone call to Customer Experience early next week to make sure that my truck is getting new springs.

I loaded up 600 lbs of dirt from Lowe's today and drove home on a fairly bumpy road. I bottomed out several times. I spread the load out evenly across the bed to give it a good test.

I have about 15,000 miles left on warranty to think about the TSB. I drive 95 miles a day round trip to work and this truck is the best riding vehicle I have ever had. On the other hand I need this truck to be able to carry a full load. 600 lbs of dirt is not a full load and it didn't like that.

If anyone has experience with the TSB and how it effected the ride please let me know.

Thanks for the information tacomaman06.

The truck does seem a little mushy in corners. I'm going to speak with my dealer pretty soon and see if I can get it done.

Thanks, I did print that before I did my questions, probably I did not ask correctly, usually there is a web site (toyota / Goverment) where this document was originally released. most of the TSB's for Tacoma's and other Toyota automoviles has this nomenclature:

    STICKY:
This thread should be considered STICKY for all of us that has a 2008 Access Cab and Double Cab Tacoma.

I have confirmed with a representative at Toyota Customer Service (800) and they agreed the T-SB-0305-08 supersedes TSB SU006-07. Then all of our trucks that has weak suspension can apply for it, I recommend that first read the first page of this new TSB, call the (800) 331-4331, explain the "introduction" to them and finally request a service date from your nearest dealer.

    Good Luck to everyone!

The PDF file is on the first post, by Isocee.
