I’m going to need new shocks soon. I’m getting new leaf springs installed on rear (dealer recall) and may add a set of aal’s later. Was planning on getting set of Bilstein 5100’s front and rear. Is that what everyone would suggest. Not looking for lot of lift maybe just level the front. Thanks

That’s a very good shock compared to what came stock. If your not going for a full blown setup.

    I have 5100's x4
I enjoy them for what they offer!
I was dumb and blew mine out overloaded in the back and went thru a intersection to fast...my mistake. But for reals night and day difference.

I plan to put bags in the back now that I have fucked myself. But for what the 5100's are no complaints!

Good luck and welcome to taco world

Would the bags be better than adding aal’s? I will be using it as a truck, pulling trailer often and hauling loads occasionally.

I’m not experienced in airbags but from what I’ve seen that would be a good option. It will maintain the stock ride quality an help level the truck out under load. The aal I had rode good an was real flexy, but when it had some weight on the bed it would start to sag.

I’m running 5100s all around with an AAL, I’ve been happy with them. They replaced my OEM sport Billsteins at 50k. I would like to add air bags for when I haul firewood and other overload scenarios.

Ok thanks for all the info. I’ll get my shocks ordered and save up for a set of air bags.
