Just installed my SS3 pros fogs in yellow. What a massive difference over the stock fogs, like no comparison at all. I have them pointed down all the way and they almost seem too high. Good part is I’ll mostly use them on trails and in high dust areas. Anyone else install them and get flashed from other drivers?

Getting flashed by other drivers isnt a good standard to measure things by. Using actual measurements is a better way. If you set them properly then you will be using the fixture to it fullest potential without hurting/distracting other drivers. After properly setting them and you get flashed, then they are complaining for no reason or they really like your truck. :D

Since these are so powerful, proper focus is essential. I have the sports and they are crazy.

I made sure the cut off line of my fogs were below the cutoff line of the low beams. They are bright, but with this aim they should be street legal.

That makes sense haha. I set them as low as possible and my truck rake is close to factory with my lift. What it seems like now is they are just so bright it’s hard to see the cut off line but its for sure not as high as the low beams. They are higher than the factory halogen fogs and the picture doesn’t do it justice. Either way I’m happy with them. Plus I only use the fogs when necessary.

thank you for the info. They are retarded bright. I have some Baja deigns pro spots and I’m wondering now how the SS3 spot compares for $100 less. Pretty impressive.

This picture is with my low beams and SS3 fogs. Truck is about 30 feet from shed. You can clearly see the low beam cut off, and sort of see the fog cut off below.

That’s a really nice cut off. I think the wall I was using might have been lite up too well from street lights or just too lite of a color. I’ll try something else to line mine up.

Nice work. Interesting to see that the 9º spot from BD has a lot of spilled lighting even with those deep reflectors. The SS3 spot, by contrast, looks like a true spot. It would be interesting to see the candela measurement on each.

I have the SS3 pro driving lamps in 4000K and they are a fantastic supplement to the high beams.

What a creative application! Did you put our white driving lenses on yellow SS3 Pods?

The housing still fits well into the cbi front bumper if any one is wondering, jiggles a bit and that's visible because the cbi bumper only has mounts for one side but that's on them not diodedyanimcs, still a damn good foglight.

Quick question for guys that have these Diode Dynamics lights. What are your experiences with the 4000k (amber with white lens) versus the 6000k(standard white color)? I really like the warmer color of Baja Designs stuff... does anyone know how the 4000k color compares? Does anyone have experience with both the 4000k and 6000k colors that they would be willing to share?

    Thanks in advance,

If you want a warmer color that's more in line with the BD lights go with the amber 4000k emitters and get yourself a set of clear lenses. You'll be happy with it

... This is coming from a guy who also loves the BD color temp.
