Hmm... so as you referenced the primary way to make adjustments is going to be with the ball-head screw (pictured below). However, what I have seen is that due to the size of the round bezel that sits in the bumper occasionally that will get "wedged" in such that the adjustment screw won't make the necessary changes. I recommend jostling it around as you make adjustments with the screw to help ease aiming.
    upload_2021-3-18_7-39-57.jpg

Other than that... Is your truck lifted such that the nose is higher than the rear of the truck or something similar to that? Trying to figure out if you might be sitting such that you couldn't aim it much further down.

I appreciate quick response. Truck is on a 2 inch lift leveling kit and sits pretty flat. Is my understanding correct that too lower the aim I should be tightening the adjustment screw down? Which would then pull the bottom of the housing backwards? Also I'm wondering if I'm suppose to have the side bolts loosened again before making adjustments to the screw? Could that be what's not allowing for the housing to move? And I will try jostling it around too tonight. Thanks!

You're on the right track! Tightening down the screw (given that everything is seated properly in the truck body and DD bracket) should pull the bottom of the bracket towards the truck and begin to aim the light downward. That said... Make sure that the ball head is actually turning the screw! The plastic head may just be spinning on the top of the screw without actually turning it. I have seen that before.

Additionally, like you said, if you have those allen bolts torqued down super tight it may be fighting the adjustment screw's ability to make changes. You may have to loosen them and push the entire light assembly a little bit forward in the bumper to give you a little bit of room to manipulate the front bezel up and down. There is just a little bit of play in the 05-11 Tacoma kits, but not as much as the current gen truck's kits.

I was asking because I already have their brackets installed and was just wondering if swapping the pods was an option.

Not likely. I'd get rid of them. Did you have to cut the bumper at all to install?

Ditch the caliraised brackets and reinstalled the stock bezels, it should cover any holes drilled for the bracket install.

Has the ss3 max in yellow always been at 3000k? Or have there been earlier versions with 6000k emitters?

The max uses 6000k emitters with a darker amber lens (vs sport/pro) to achieve 3000k selective yellow output.

@Diode Dynamics do you have pattern info for the SS3 max fogs? I'm curious to see how the height/width stacks up against the sport and pro.

    Sport: 78x8°
    Pro: 90x12°
    Max: ???
