Do these work if you have already installed the SS3s as fog lights? So in essence could I use these yellow covers and pop them on and off as I please?

Unfortunately, for some fog light kits. the snap-on SS3 Covers will not fit. This is the case for the Tacoma SS3 Fog Light Kits. The reason they won't fit is becuase the face of the pods sit behind the fog light bezel, so there is no way to easily snap the covers on and off the pods. Sorry about that.

Can you elaborate a little on this? Can they be installed before the fog light is mounted on 2nd Generation Tacomas? Thought I would be specific.

The bezels on the front of the pods are designed to create a clean fit for the Tacoma (as you can see in the pictures above). The face of the SS3 for this kit is not flat, meaning that the snap-on SS3 Covers will not fit on the pod, even if you attempt to put them on before the SS3 Pod gets bolted to the vehicle.

Installed a set of the Sports tonight. Love the look! The cut off is perfect. I angled them down slightly. Install took about 30 minutes.

 

@Diode Dynamics so you have any more products in the pipeline for 2nd Gens? I just acquired a 2011 regular cab base model that needs everything. I’m wanting to add the fog lights, as well as a stealth front bumper LED and ditch lights...
