    What's good friends,

First time taco owner as of two days ago, and I couldn't be more stoked on my purchase. I snagged a 1st gen (2000) Xtra Cab with 121k on it, pretty much rust free (couple tiny tiny surface spots I will take care of right away) plain Jane, 5 Spd, 4x4 manual locking with a high roof LEER cap and Thule bars factory installed on the cap. There's good maintenance records, lifespan left before the next timing belt change as well. I just moved to Colorado last month and have spent the weekend adventuring with the rig and getting acquainted with one another. I put a few hundred miles on it this weekend through the Roaring Fork Valley areas running it with the A/C, heat on and off just to test it all out and see what it does, it ran beautifully the entire time.

Looking forward to learning more about these rigs and the community, I'll get through all of the code of conducts this week, I'm newer to forums in general so I'll research some stuff before asking the typical, wheel size/tire, suspension questions, but if anyone has any pointers to threads that sound like what I plan to do with this rig, I would appreciate the direction. I don't plan on making this a super beefy off roading rig, I plan to use this as a part time daily as I choose, but mostly as my long weekend warrior to get out and adventure to camp, hike, climb, paddle, dirt bike/mtn bike and snowboard in the winters. I don't have deep pockets so I won't be super high end but I'm also not going to waste money on the cheapest set up just to have a lift and wheels/tires, I want to research to find the best middle ground I can for suspension/wheels/tires that offers a fun responsive drive with the ability to functionally use the lift and 4x4 when needed to get deeper into the thick of things looking to make camp or to ride my bikes etc.

Here's the rig and the first views we got together.

    Cheers

Everyone loved the 1st gen trucks. Toyota could sell as many as they could make if they brought it back now. They need to wake up before Ford hurts them with new Bronco, Maverick, and Ranger. I miss my 2001 Prerunner every day. My wife loved to drive it.
